March 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian hotel operator Albena [BUL:ALB] turned to a consolidated net profit of 4.2 million levs ($10.1 million/9 million euro) in 2021 from a net loss of 17.8 million levs last year, as tourism and services activities in the summer of 2021 somewhat improved on the same period in 2020.
Albena's revenue jumped to 94.8 million levs last year from 58.9 million levs a year prior, the company said in its annual financial statement on Monday.
The company's total operating expenses also rose in 2021, to 89.8 million from 78 million levs in 2020.
Albena cautioned that it may yet incur Covid-19-related losses as its activity continues to be affected by the pandemic environment.
Shares in Albena were trading 5% lower at 30.20 levs as at 13:30 CET on Tuesday on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
