October 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian furniture retailer Aiko EOOD plans to open its first store in the city of Plovdiv by the end of 2023, a marketing official at the company told SeeNews on Tuesday.
The value of the investment cannot be disclosed at this stage, the official said in an emailed statement.
The store will be built on a plot of 2.7 ha, which Aiko acquired in May. The planned store will have a built-up area of 21,000 square metres and a parking lot for up to 300 cars.
Set up in 1993, Aiko has stores in Sofia, Burgas, Varna and Stara Zagora. In 2015, Austrian furniture retailer XLCEE Holding acquired over 66% of the company. The remaining stake of about 33% is held by founder Marian Dushkov.
