SOFIA (Bulgaria), April 30 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian stock indices ended mostly higher on Tuesday as daily turnover fell, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), closed 0.45% higher at 400.19 points after rising by 0.43% on Monday.
The broader BG40, which includes the 40 most traded shares, gained 0.86% to 139.08 points after decreasing by 0.01% in the previous trading session.
Total turnover on the regulated market fell to 1.18 million levs ($793,000/603,000 euro) from 1.7 million levs on Monday.
Eight of the 12 SOFIX components which were traded on Tuesday advanced, two fell and two ended flat.
Bulgarian Real Estate Fund [BUL:5BU] was the top SOFIX gainer, closing 1.7% higher at 0.6 levs as 2,000 shares changed hands.
Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:4ID] was the top blue-chip decliner, closing 0.13% lower at 0.739 levs in a volume of 3,700 shares.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, ended 1.01% down at 85.27 points after rising by 0.54% on Monday.
The BG TotalReturn30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, gained 0.33% to 292.48 points, following a 0.05% increase in the previous trading session.
The CGIX Corporate Governance index, which includes companies strictly applying corporate governance principles, ended 0.09% higher at 88.65 points after increasing 0.85% on Monday.
The Bulgarian stock exchange will be closed from May 1, Labour Day, through May 6, St. George's Day.
