SOFIA (Bulgaria), May 7 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian stock market indices closed mostly higher on Tuesday, as daily turnover rose, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), closed 1.68% higher at 406.91 points, after rising by 0.45% last Tuesday.
The bourse was closed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for Labour Day and Orthodox Easter.
The broader BG40, which includes the 40 most traded shares, went down 0.74% to 138.05 points following a 0.86% increase in the previous trading session.
Total turnover on the regulated market rose to 2.1 million levs ($1.4 million/1.1 million euro) from 1.18 million levs on Tuesday.
Eleven of the 13 SOFIX components which were traded on Tuesday advanced, one fell and one ended flat.
Agribusiness company Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria [BUL:T43] was the top SOFIX gainer, closing 7.94% higher at 0.408 levs as 32,183 shares changed hands.
Bulgarian Real Estate Fund [BUL:5BU] was the only blue-chip decliner, closing 0.33% lower at 0.598 levs in a volume of 17,793 shares.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, ended 0.54% higher at 85.73 points after falling by 1.01% on Tuesday.
The BG TotalReturn30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, gained 1.11% to 295.74 points, following a 0.33% increase in the previous trading session.
The CGIX Corporate Governance index, which includes companies strictly applying corporate governance principles, ended 1.68% higher at 90.14 points after going up by 0.09% on Thursday.
