October 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian share indices ended mixed on Monday with turnover posting a slim drop, bourse data showed.
The SOFIX index, which comprises the 20 most liquid shares trading on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), closed 0.41% lower at 481.7 points, after rising 0.37% on Friday. The broader BG40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the bourse, inched up 0.03% to 130.77 points, building on its 0.42% rise in the previous session.
Turnover, excluding block and other pre-agreed deals, fell to 1.6 million levs ($1.2 million/818,000 euro) from 1.8 million levs on Friday when it was lifted by trade in blue-chip drug maker Sopharma and Agria Group Holding, a local company investing in the farming sector.
On Monday, losers outnumbered advancers 39 to 28 and 10 shares closed flat.
Sixteen blue chips were traded with seven losing ground and the rest moving higher.
The top SOFIX advancer was lender Central Cooperative Bank which added 2.17% to 1.56 levs in a volume of 124,433 shares, while engineering, construction and energy group Enemona was the top decliner, plunging 7.25% to 11.13 levs as 9,634 stocks changed hands.
The most traded blue chip was industrial group Chimimport. A total of 136,287 of its ordinary stocks and 26,637 of its preferred shares were traded, ending 1.17% and 0.32% higher, respectively, at 2.59 levs and 2.55 levs.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, added 0.06% to 50.08 points and the BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, dropped 1.16% to 365.27 points.
On Friday, the BG-REIT fell 0.67% and the BG TotalReturn30 added 1.18%.
The Dnevnik 20 index, calculated by local business daily Dnevnik from the share prices of the 20 leading companies in terms of liquidity and market capitalisation, lost 0.75% to 69.74 points after it added 0.09% on Friday.
