December 8 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian technology startups WHISP and AskTheCP will receive 100,000 euro ($105,160) each from incubator Sirma Venture Lab, a representative of venture capital firm Innovation Capital, which co-founded the incubation programme, said.
A term sheet has been signed with an option allowing the total investment in each of the startups to increase to 400,000 euro, Angel Angelov, a managing partner at Innovation Capital, told SeeNews via social media on Wednesday.
Sirma Venture Lab was established in May 2022 by Innovation Capital and Bulgarian software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH] to support startups from Eastern Europe with projects in the areas of fintech, healthcare, industry 4.0, logistics, automotive or hospitality.
AskTheCP is developing a software solution intended to help fight antibiotic resistance by supporting healthcare practitioners to make the right choice when prescribing antibiotics. When contacted by SeeNews, AskTheCP confirmed that it will use the financing to support the development of the solution, called Amira. Currently, a prototype is in a process of validation in two university hospitals in Bulgaria, doctor Natalia Konova, a co-founder of AskTheCP, told SeeNews in an email.
WHISP is working on a technology product to facilitate the relocation of international employees. The firm offers a guideline to help employees and HRs comply with global migration requirements, providing support and digitised document handling.
