SOFIA (Bulgaria), September 13 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian share indices closed in the red on Tuesday in slightly higher turnover, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), fell 0.87% to 363.04 points following a drop of 1.21% on Monday.
The BSE said on Tuesday it will replace two of the 15 components of the SOFIX index as of September 19. It will remove from the index Doverie Obedinen Holding [BUL:5BU] and engineering, construction and energy group Enemona [BUL:E4A], and will add fertilisers producer Neochim [BUL:3NB] and hydraulic equipment maker M+S Hydraulic [BUL:5MH].
The broader BG40, which includes the 40 most traded shares, declined 0.85% to 118.02 points after losing 0.50% a day earlier. BSE said earlier on Tuesday that five of the components of BG40 index will be replaced as of September 19.
Total turnover on the regulated market edged up to 1.3 million levs ($907,000/665,000 euro) from 1.2 million levs in the previous session.
Blue-chip Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] was the most traded company on Tuesday, closing 0.7% lower at 0.99 levs in a volume of 142,994 shares.
Nine of the 14 SOFIX components that were traded on Tuesday fell, four advanced and one ended flat.
Doverie Obedinen Holding [BUL:5DOV] led the SOFIX gainers, ending 5.0% higher at 2.1 levs in a volume of 1,050 shares.
Bulgarian Real Estate Fund [BUL:5BU] was the top blue-chip loser, closing 3.22% lower at 0.6 levs as 2,350 shares changed hands.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, shed 1.1% to 47.55 points following an increase of 0.12% on Monday. BSE said earlier on Tuesday it decided to revise the BG-REIT index by replacing three of its members as of September 19.
The BG TotalReturn30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, dipped 1.16% to 301.15 points after it slid 0.88% a day earlier. BSE will replace four of the components of the index as of September 19.
The Dnevnik 20 index, calculated by local business daily Dnevnik from the share prices of the 20 leading companies in terms of liquidity and market capitalisation, was down 0.81% at 53.65 points. It finished 1.57% lower in the previous session.
