January 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's security services provider SOT has filed for regulatory approval to acquire local peer Security Holding, the country's competition authority announced on Friday.
SOT says in its request that the acquisition is expected to influence several sectors of the market, including physical guarding services, centralized security as well as cash-in-transit services, and asks the regulator to estimate whether the notified deal will adversely affect competition environment, the Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) said in a statement.

Privately-held SOT, established in 1994, is the first company in the country specialized in guarding sites using security alarm systems. The Sofia-based company provides security alarm services, physical guarding of property, and specialized security, such as guarding of valuables and cargo, personal protection and guarding of mass events.
