October 30 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian oil and gas prospecting company Prouchvane I Dobiv Na Neft I Gaz, part of industrial conglomerate Chimimport, on Tuesday said its net profit for the first nine months rose by 10.6% on the year to 5.5 million levs ($4.0 million/2.8 million euro), as sales grew 3.2%.

Prouchvane I Dobiv Na Neft I Gaz operates 12 oil and gas deposits under concession. The company invested 8.66 million levs in its subsidiaries in the first nine months of the year. The biggest part of the sum, 6.6 million levs, was invested in Golf Shabla company, which plans to build a golf course at Bulgaria's northern Black Sea coast. Bulgarian business daily Dnevnik has reported the planned cost of the golf course was some 100 million levs.
Company shares, part of the broad BG 40 index of the BSE, closed 1.0% lower at 14.06 levs in a volume of some 2,460 shares on Tuesday.
