March 28 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian car battery manufacturer MonBat [BUL:5MB] said its consolidated pre-tax profit rose by an annual 3.2% to 5.5 million levs ($3.05 million/2.8 million euro) in the first two months of 2017.
The company's consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 9.3% year-on-year to 8.3 million levs, MonBat said in a bourse filing late on Monday.

On an annual comparison basis, consolidated net sales revenues increased by 23.7% to 51.7 million levs in January-February period.
In February alone, profit before taxes fell by 7.1% year-on-year to 2.5 million levs, while net revenues rose by 28.9% to 26.6 million levs.
MonBat operates four plants for manufacturing and recycling of lead-acid batteries, diodes and light-emitting diode luminaires.
