July 22 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) and the broader BGBX40 ended in negative territory on Friday as turnover rose, bourse data showed.
Turnover on the regulated market increased to 815,200 levs ($459,200/418,200 euro) from 474,325 levs on Thursday.
The SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the Sofia bourse, shed 0.74% to 454.25 points after gaining 1.23% on Thursday.
The broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares, lost 0.31% to 89.02 points after rising 0.86% in the previous session.
Bulgarian industrial group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR] was the biggest SOFIX decliner, losing 5.0% to a close of 3.80 levs as 150 shares changed hands.
First Investment Bank [BUL:5F4] was the top blue chip gainer, appreciating 1.33% to 2.280 levs as 300 shares changed hands.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, jumped 2.0% to 101.82 points, after edging down 0.24% on Thursday.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, ticked up 0.09% to 377.11 points. A day earlier it closed 0.54% higher.
