SOFIA (Bulgaria), January 18 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria and Romania were the only EU member states to post a negative annual inflation rate in December, the bloc's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Bulgaria recorded an annual deflation rate of 0.5% in December, while Romania had deflation of 0.1%, Eurostat said in a press release.
December inflation data for Ireland were unavailable. In November, Ireland posted annual deflation of 0.2%
Annual inflation in the EU was 1.2% in December, up from 0.6% in November.
