March 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said on Thursday it has launched a tender for awarding a contract for project design of a ring road of the city of Pleven.
The estimated price of the tender is up to 1 million levs ($552,400/511,300 euro), VAT excluded, RIA said in a statement.
The contractor will be responsible for drafting two separate project designs envisaging different routes for the ring road. One of the possible routes is 5 kilometres in length but it is located close to Kailaka Park, a protected area, while the other one is 19 kilometres long.
The deadline for submitting offers is April 24.
The ring road of Pleven, in north-central Bulgaria, will provide a convenient and safe link for traffic coming from the city of Ruse, on the Danube, and will accommodate the heavy traffic in direction to Ruse expected after the completion of Hemus motorway.
