January 24 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's interior ministry said on Friday it has awarded a 2.3 million levs ($1.3 million/1.2 million euro) contract for delivery of three stationary surveillance systems to a local consortium comprising Optix and Metalik-Ivan Mihaylov
The deal benefits from EU financing under a project for coping with migratory pressure at Bulgarian borders, the interior ministry said in a notice.
The awarded tie-up will be responsible for the construction and integration of three stationary posts for technical surveillance.
Panagyurishte-based Optix and Plovdiv-based Metalik-Ivan Mihaylov hold 50% each in the each, data from the country's registry agency showed.
The interior ministry has received three offers in the public procurement procedure for awarding the contract. Bids were ranked predominantly based on technical criteria.
