May 11 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Macedonia in March decreased by 17.6% on the year to 196, the country's statistics office said on Wednesday.
The estimated value of construction projects covered by building permits issued in March plunged 23.8% year-on-year to 2.9 billion denars ($53.6 million/47.1 million euro), the data showed.
A total of 116 permits were issued for new buildings, 32 for civil engineering projects, and 48 for reconstruction projects in March.
In the reference period, 527 dwellings are planned for construction, with total useful floor area of 42,545 sq m.
Individuals accounted for 120 of the granted permits, and companies took the remaining 76.
