February 8 (SeeNews) - The foreign trade deficit of Bosnia's Serb Republic widened 11.9% on the year to $890.4 million (786.0 million euro) in 2018, data from the country's statistical office showed.
Exports rose 12.8% to $2.2 billion, while imports grew 11.6% to $3.1 billion, data published by the statistical office last week showed.
The export-import ratio increased to 71.7%, slightly up from 71.6% in the first twelve months of 2017.
The Serb Republic's main export markets last year were Italy and Serbia. The two countries also topped the list of markets from which the Serb Republic's imports originated.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
