BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 22 (SeeNews) – Consumer price inflation in Bosnia's Serb Republic remained unchanged at 0.3% year-on-year in July, the entity's statistical office said on Thursday.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices in the Serb Republic fell by 0.5% in July, after dropping 0.6% in June, the Serb Republic's Institute of Statistics said in a statement.
Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco in the entity rose 5.5% year-on-year, food and non-alcoholic beverages appreciated 0.5%, while prices of transport edged up 0.1%. Prices in the sector of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels added 3.8%.
The biggest year-on-year drop in consumer prices in July was recorded in the clothing and footwear sector, by 12.9%.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
