Bosnia's registered jobless numbers fall 9.6% y/y in May Work, labour costs, worker

SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), July 23 (SeeNews) - The number of registered unemployed people in Bosnia dropped by 9.6% on the year to 406,685 in May, official figures show.

On a monthly comparison basis, the number of registered unemployed fell by 1.7% in May, data of Bosnia's Agency for Statistics shows.

Most of the registered unemployed in May were highly skilled (131,430), followed by holders of a high school diploma (113,588) and unskilled people (114,238).

People with a two-year college education accounted for the smallest share of unemployed - 6,178 people, followed by semi-skilled people - 7,666.

At the end of 2018, the number of registered unemployed in Bosnia was 435,266.

Bosnia has a population of some 3.5 million.
