December 20 (SeeNews) - Bosnian oil refinery Rafinerija Nafte Brod [BANJ:RNAF-R-A] put into operation a natural gas filling compressor station, the company's majority-owner, Russia's oil and gas company Zarubezhneft said.
The gas filling station will use natural gas supplied through the refinery's 5.5-kilometre gas pipeline which is connected with Croatia's gas transportation system, Zarubezhneft said in a press release on Friday.
The annual production capacity of the gas filling station is 40 million cubic metres of compressed natural gas.
The construction of the station is part of a 16.2 million euro ($18.2 million) project which involves the conversion of Rafinerija Nafte Brod and oil refinery company Rafinerija Ulja Modrica to natural gas, as well as the development of a gasification system in the Serb Republic.
Zarubezhneft owns 80% of Rafinerija Nafte Brod through its unit OAO Neftegazinkor since 2007.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
