August 12 (SeeNews) - The road company of Bosnia's Serb Republic, Putevi Republike Srpske, will invest 164.5 million marka ($99 million/84 million euro) in new road projects, maintenance of existing roads, as well as rehabilitation of bridges and tunnels, local media reported on Wednesday.
Putevi Republike Srpske plans to invest 51.5 million marka from its budget in new investment projects, while the Serb Republic government should grant an additional 35.6 million marka for the projects, news daily Glas Srpske reported.
In addition, 58.02 million marka will be invested in regular maintenance of the main and regional road networks, while 3.36 million marka will be used for rehabilitation works on bridges, tunnels and landslides, Glas Srpske quoted a representative of Putevi RS as saying.
The company plans to overhaul 52.31 kilometres of roads by the end of the year, for a total price of 15.92 million marka, according to the media report.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
