December 16 (SeeNews) - The ministry of economy of Bosnia's Herzegovina-Neretva Canton said it has signed concession contracts with Mostar-based energy companies Eco-Swis, Pozitron, Proton Plus and Masline for the construction of solar power plants with a combined capacity of 10.8 MW.
Eco-Swis will build six solar power plants with a capacity of 150 kW each, Pozitron will build eight power plants with a capacity of 999 KW each and Proton Plus plans the construction of 12 solar power plants, each with a capacity of 150 kW, the cantonal ministry of economy said in a notice on Wednesday.
The three companies have been awarded 30-year concessions for the production, transmission and distribution of electricity generated at the planned photovoltaic (PV) power plants.
Masline was granted a 25-year concession for the construction and operation of one 149.76 kW solar plant.
The Herzegovina-Neretva Canton is one of 10 cantons in one of Bosnia's entities the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Serb Republic.
