October 27 (SeeNews) - The net electricity output of Bosnia's Federation reached 689 GWh in September, up from 592 GWh in the same month last year, the entity's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Electricity imports surged to 257 GWh in September from 24 GWh a year earlier, while exports rose to 269 GWh from 189 GWh, the Federation's statistical office said in a statement.
The net electricity output of hydro power plants increased to 178 GWh in September, from 166 GWh in the same month of 2020, while the output of thermal power plants rose to 495 GWh from 426 GWh.
On a monthly comparison basis, the Federation's net electricity output in September was 25% higher than in August, whent it stood at 552 GWh.
Month-on-month, the Federation's electricity imports rose 13% in September, while exports went up 25%.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
