September 28 (SeeNews) - The net electricity output of Bosnia's Federation declined to 552 GWh in August, from 562 GWh in the same month last year, the entity's statistical office said.
Electricity imports surged to 227 GWh in August from 26 GWh a year earlier, while exports rose to 215 GWh from 140 GWh, the Federation's statistical office said in a statement on Monday.
The net electricity output of hydro power plants increased to 205 GWh in August, from 128 GWh in the same month of 2020, while the output of thermal power plants fell to 331 GWh from 434 GWh.
On a monthly comparison basis, the Federation's net electricity output in August was 0.73% higher than July's 548 GWh.
Month-on-month, the Federation's electricity imports rose 187% in August, while exports went up 29.5%.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
