November 18 (SeeNews) - The registered unemployment rate in Bosnia's Federation dropped to 38.5% at the end of September, from 39.2% at the end of August, the entity's statistical office said.
Among women, unemployment fell to 46.5% in September from 47.4% a month earlier, the Federation's statistical office said in a statement on Monday.
The number of unemployed people in the Federation decreased by 1.6% month-on-month in September, to 325,660.
The number of employed people rose by 1.1% to 519,772 in September. The economically active population in the Federation totalled 845,432 people in September.
The registered unemployment rate is calculated as the ratio of the number of unemployed to the total active population.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
