March 25 (SeeNews) - The government of Bosnia's Federation introduced a two-week curfew on the entity's territory to stem a rise in coronavirus cases, it said.
The two-week restriction of movement will be in force from 9 PM to 5 AM, starting March 24, the government said in a statement earlier this week.
The restrictions do not apply to people working in shifts, intercity and international passenger transport, taxi and truck drivers.
Bosnia's Federation confirmed 1,265 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, increasing its total count to 105,036. So far, 3,417 people have died from the infection, health ministry data shows.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
On Wednesday, the Serb Republic confirmed 578 new cases of COVID-19, lifting the entity's total count to 50,295. So far, 2,509 people lost the battle against the disease in the entity.
