July 25 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Federation rose 1.1% year-on-year to 274 in June, the entity's statistical office said on Monday.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings increased 2.3% on an annual comparison basis to 225 in June, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects totalled 49, down 3.9% on the year, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Out of the total number of permits issued in June, 239 covered new construction projects, 24 were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings and spaces.
Based on the number of permits issued in June, planned dwellings numbered 510, up 70% year-on-year.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
