SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), October 26 (SeeNews) – The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Federation decreased by 5.1% year-on-year to 223 in September, the entity's statistical office said on Monday.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings fell by 10.2% on an annual comparison basis in September, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects were up 14%, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Out of the total number of permits issued in September, 182 covered new construction projects, 26 were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings.
Based on the number of permits issued in September, planned dwellings numbered 259, up 23% compared to the same month of 2019.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
