SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), September 20 (SeeNews) – Consumer price inflation in Bosnia's Federation increased by 0.6% year-on-year in August, at the same pace as a month earlier, the entity's statistical office said on Friday.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices in the Federation fell by 0.2% in August, after declining by 0.6% in July, the Federation's statistical office said in a statement.
Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco in the autonomous entity rose 5.8% year-on-year, food and non-alcoholic beverages advanced 0.8%, while transport prices were 0.6% higher. Prices in the sector of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels added 2.2%.
The biggest year-on-year drop in consumer prices in August, by 7.6%, was recorded in clothing and footwear.
The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
