September 18 (SeeNews) - Consumer prices in Bosnia's Federation entity increased by 2.0% year-on-year in August, after rising at the same annual rate in the previous month, the entity's statistical office said.
Prices in the transport sector saw the highest annual growth, of 11.3%, in August, followed by alcoholic beverages and tobacco with a rise of 6.5%, according to data posted on the website of the Institute for Statistics of the Federation.
The price of clothing and footwear registered the sharpest drop on an annual comparison basis in August, of 7.1%.
On a monthly comparison basis, the Federation's consumer price index (CPI) decreased by 0.2%, after edging down by 0.8% in July.
The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
