September 18 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Federation consumer price index (CPI) fell by an annual 1.3% in August, after decreasing by the same annual rate in July, the entity's statistical office said on Friday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the Federation's CPI edged down 0.2% in August, after losing 0.3% in July, the statistical office said in a statement.
The prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the biggest weight in the consumer basket, rose by 1.8% year-on-year in August, prices in the sector of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels were down by an annual 2.1% in August.
The Federation's average consumer price inflation slowed to 0.6% in 2019, from 1.6% in 2018.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
