January 11 (SeeNews) - Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske (ERS), the power utility of Bosnia's Serb Republic, said on Wednesday it has signed a contract with a consortium of local construction company Herc Gradnja and electrical installation firm Segment for the construction of an office building worth 7.99 million marka ($4.4 million/4.1 million euro).
Works should begin towards the end of January, with a view to completing it in two years, ERS said in a press release.
ERS' new building will be located in the centre of Trebinje. The city of Trebinje, which is providing the land, will also move some of its operations to the building.
ERS is providing the funding for the construction, the company said.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
