January 30 (SeeNews) - Bosnian power utility Elektroprivreda BiH [SAJ:JPESR] said it has signed a contract with local coal mining company RMU Banovici [SAJ:RMUBR] for the supply of about 800,000 tonnes of coal in 2024.
RMU Banovici will supply some 700,000 tonnes of coal for the Tuzla thermal power plant and the remaining 100,000 tonnes of coal is intended for the Kakanj thermal power plant, Elektroprivreda BiH said in a press release on Monday.
Elektroprivreda BiH, Bosnia's largest power utility, is based in the Federation entity. The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities that together form Bosnia and Herzegovina, the other being the Serb Republic
Elektroprivreda BiH's shares last traded on the Sarajevo bourse on January 24, when they closed 0.08% lower at 12.5 marka ($6.9/6.4 euro).
RMU Banovici's shares last traded on the Sarajevo bourse on January 23, when they closed flat at 6 marka.
