SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), September 27 (SeeNews) – Bosnia and Herzegovina's consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.3% year-on-year in August, after advancing 0.5% a month earlier, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages added 0.5% in August, prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 5.9% and prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose 2.6%, the statistical office said in a statement.
Prices of healthcare services increased by 0.7% in August, transport prices edged up 0.1%, prices in the sector of services at restaurants and hotels grew 0.9%, whereas prices in education added 0.6%.
On a monthly comparison basis, Bosnia's consumer prices edged down by 0.3% in August, after decreasing 0.6% in July.
Bosnia's consumer prices grew 0.7% in the January-August period.
