August 8 (SeeNews) - Bosnian health tourism centre ZTC Banja Vrucica [BANJ:BVRU-R-A] will invest 10 million marka ($5.7 million/5.1 million euro) in the construction of a hospital in Banja Luka, local media reported on Thursday.
The health tourism centre has filed a request for obtaining a permit for construction works at the site of Krajina hotel, business news portal eKapija.com quoted Banja Vrucica's marketing director, Aleksandar Radosevic, as saying.
As soon as the company obtains the building permit, it will call a tender for project contractor. It expects to select the contractor by the end of August.
"We'll start by bringing down the obsolete Krajina hotel, and then we will start building the hospital. The works should last some 18 months", Radosevic said.
Banja Luka is the biggest city in the Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
