November 27 (SeeNews) - The average net monthly salary in Bosnia's Serb Republic fell in October by a real 3.7% month-on-month to 601 marka ($456/307 euro), official statistics showed on Tuesday.
In nominal terms, the average October net monthly salary was 0.6% higher than it was in September, the Republic's Statistics Office said.
In September the average net monthly salary in the Serb Republic rose by a real 0.3% and was a nominal 0.9% higher month-on-month.

NOTES: Retail prices in the Serb Republic, which together with the Muslim-Croat Federation forms war-divided Bosnia, rose by 2.4% month-on-month in October and were 4.0% higher on the year.
The cost of the consumer basket for a family of four was estimated at 515.70 marka in October, up from 488.53 marka a month earlier.
The population of the Serb Republic was 1.5 million in 2001, according to the latest official data available. Nearly one-third of the population is unemployed. The average net monthly salary in the Federation was 666.18 marka in September, the last month for which figures were available.
