January 10 (SeeNews) - The Bosnian subsidiary of Slovenian poultry producer Perutnina Ptuj will invest 4 million marka ($2.3 million/2 million euro) in new production capacities this year, aiming to boost its exports, local media reported.
"Given that we have already met all the necessary standards and required quality, we expect to achieve significant exports of chicken products to the EU in the following years," news daily Poslovne Novine quoted Perutnina Ptuj BH CEO, Mladen Andric, as saying on Thursday.
Andric added that the revenue of the Bosnian arm of the company rose by 10% last year, while net profit grew by 12%.
Perutnina Ptuj is present in seven countries: Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Romania and Austria.
The Bosnian subsidiary employs some 3,700 workers.
