April 1 (SeeNews) - Bosnia has signed an 18.7 million marka ($10.5 million/9.6 million euro) contract with a consortium of three local companies - Niskogradnja, Alfa Term, and Tehton, for the construction of the Svilaj border crossing with Croatia, Bosnia's indirect tax administration, UIO, said.
The border crossing will be located on an area of 103,000 square metres on Bosnia's northern border with Croatia, at the cross-border Svilaj bridge on the Sava river, UIO said in a statement on Tuesday.
Construction works are expected to last 300 days, the statement read.
The new border crossing will lie on pan-European Corridor Vc, which connects Croatia's Adriatic port of Ploce with Budapest in Hungary via Bosnia.
UIO also said that it will soon sign a contract for the supervision of the construction works on the Svilaj border crossing with Sarajevo-based company Design & QC.
