March 8 (SeeNews) - Bosnian state-owned road construction company Autoceste FBiH is inviting expressions of interest for the supervision of the construction of the Prenj road tunnel, part of the Bosnian section of pan-European Corridor Vc, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said.
Interested parties can submit bids by April 24, the EBRD said in a notice on Tuesday.
The length of the Prenj tunnel is estimated at 10.165 km, which would make it the longest road tunnel in the country and one of the longest road tunnels in Europe.
The whole project for the construction of the Prenj tunnel is estimated at 600 million euro ($632.6 million), financed by loans from the EBRD and European Investment Bank (EIB), as well as grants from the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF).
European transport Corridor Vc has a total length of 700 km and connects the Adriatic port of Ploce in Croatia with Budapest in Hungary via Bosnia. Its length in Bosnia is some 340 km.
