October 2 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of commercial banks operating in Bosnia decreased to 14.165 billion marka ($10.54 billion/7.24 billion euro) at the end of August from 14.4 billion marka a month earlier, central bank figures showed.
The banks' loan portfolio amounted to 14.497 billion marka at the end of June.

The banks' deposit portfolio dropped to 12.020 billion marka in August from 12.070 billion marka a month earlier.
Bosnia's 30 commercial banks serve a market of some 3.8 million people.
The Bosnian convertible marka is pegged at a fixed exchange rate of 1.95583 to the euro under a currency board system.
