April 15 (SeeNews) - Turkish industry and technology minister Mustafa Varank said that German automotive parts and consumer goods group Bosch plans to invest fresh 500 million lira ($72.9 million/66.7 million euro) in its manufacturing plant in Turkey's Bursa province, local media reported.
The new investment is in addition to an existing investment of 1.24 billion lira in the Bursa plant and will see the plant increase the number of employees to 606 from 314, Sabah Daily quoted Varank as saying in a Twitter post on Tuesday.
Bosch will start production of high-pressure pumps at the factory after the new investment. The facility is expected to produce 900,000 high-pressure pumps per year.
Bosch started its operations in Turkey with a branch office in 1910 and opened its first plant in the country in Bursa in 1972.
