BELGRADE (Serbia), April 23 (SeeNews) – Serbian company BK Group plans to start the construction of residential buildings with a total floor area of up to 50,000 square metres throughout Serbia, the deputy president of the company, Simon Karic, said.
BK Group plans to sell dwellings in Serbia at a price of 500 euro ($611) per square metre, Simon Karic said in a video file posted on the YouTube channel of BK Group last week.
"We are planning to build between 30,000 and 50,000 square metres throughout all big Serbian cities," Simon Karic said.
In 2014, BK Group presented a project for the construction of a residential and retail complex in Belgrade, named Tesla Grad. The company is currently seeking partners for the implementation of the project, which will have a combined area of 1 million square metres, Simon Karic added.
In October, the owner of BK Group, Bogoljub Karic, said the company plans to start construction works on the domestic market in 2018, as the market conditions are favourable.
The company is currently in charge of the construction of buildings with a total floor area of 3 million square metres in Minsk, including the international financial centre building in the Belarusian capital, Bogoljub Karic said back in October.
Bogoljub Karic ran for president of Serbia in June 2004, winning nearly 20% of the vote. In 2005, legal action was launched against him on charges of abuse of office at mobile operator Mobtel, in which the state was holding a 49% stake. Bogoljub Karic did not appear in court in February 2006 and the legal action against him was terminated in December 2016, due to the lack of evidence.
