April 5 (SeeNews) - An outbreak of H5N8 bird flu has been registered in a duck farm in the Bulgarian village of Zimnitsa near Yambol, in the country's southeast, the agriculture ministry said on Thursday.

The ministry has imposed a ban on hunting game birds in connection with the outbreak of bird flu.
Last month, the country's food safety agency said it will cull 140,000 hens to fend off an outbreak of H5N8 bird flu virus in a farm in the northeastern region of Dobrich, near the border with Romania.
