BELGRADE (Serbia), September 22 (SeeNews) – The Belgrade share indices maintained their modest upward momentum in slightly lower volumes on Tuesday, stock exchange data showed.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange picked up 0.16% to 826.23 points after edging up 0.08% on Monday. The broader BELEXline index gained 1.42% to 1,555.05 points after climbing 0.05% a day earlier.
The joint SRX index of the bourses in Belgrade and Vienna rose 2.12% to 373.19 on Tuesday.
The Belgrade bourse's total turnover fell to 134 million dinars ($2.1 million/1.4 million euro) from 137 million dinars on Monday.
Blue-chip lender AIK Banka was the day's most traded company again. Its shares fell 1.62% to 3,094 dinars in a turnover of 25 million dinars.
Engineering holding company Energoprojekt rose 1.11% to 1,093 dinars in the second largest turnover of 17 million dinars.
Blue chip Univerzal Banka shed 0.73% to 9,431 dinars in the third largest turnover of 12 million dinars.
Another blue-chip lender, Metals Banka, was the biggest gainer on Tuesday, leaping 9.09% to 7,552 dinars.
Tobacco producer DIN, majority-owned by Phillip Morris, was the session’s top loser, tumbling 5.50% to 3,006 dinars.
Fallers outnumbered gainers by 27 to 23, while the shares of 18 companies ended flat on Tuesday.
