February 22 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover among the blue chips on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices ended mixed, bourse data showed.
A total of 12,468 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 9.2 million dinars. NIS closed up 0.82% at 740 dinars.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL: JESV] paced the decliners, closing down 2.60% to 7,500 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.12% higher at 877.73 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.27% at 1,765.34.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 19.9 million dinars ($180,600/169,400 euro) on Wednesday, up from 10.8 million dinars on Tuesday, as 148 transactions were carried out.
Trading in treasury bonds contributed 3.9 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
