April 21 (SeeNews) - The Belgrade City Assembly said it has adopted a detailed regulation plan for the construction of a heating pipeline worth an estimated 160 million euro ($171.2 million).
The financing of the 28 km pipeline connecting Termoelektrane Nikola Tesla (TENT) power generation complex and Novi Beograd thermal power plant could be ensured through a public-private partnership, a loan, or funds from the profit of state-owned utility Beogradske elektrane, the chairman of Belgrade City Assembly, Nikola Nikodijevic, said, as quoted in a statement by Belgrade city authorities on Thursday.
The project would make it possible to buy smaller quantities of natural gas, using the TENT byproduct energy, Nikodijevic said in the statement.
TENT comprises the Nikola Tesla A, Nikola Tesla B, Morava and Kolubara coal-fired power plants with a combined installed capacity of 3,286 MW.
