May 31 (SeeNews) - Belarussian state-run manufacturer of electric vehicles for public transport Belkommunmash hopes to deliver 60 electric buses to Serbia's capital Belgrade, Belarussian media reported on Wednesday.
Belkommunmash has already delivered an electric bus to Belgrade, which is currently being tested, Belarussian news agency BELTA quoted Minsk City Executive Committee member Nikolay Rogashtuk as saying at a news conference in Minsk.

"Our main competitors are companies from China. Chinese electric buses are also being tested in Belgrade," Rogashtuk noted.
The main advantage of the electric buses manufactured by Belkommunmash is their price, he added.
Earlier this month, Belgrade mayor Sinisa Mali said the city government aims to buy ten electric buses of Chinese manufacturer Higer Bus, in addition to the five it has already purchased from the Chinese firm.
