May 3 (SeeNews) - Total trading turnover of Bosnia's Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) dropped to 6.8 million marka ($3.8 million/3.5 million euro) in April, compared with 94.1 million marka generated in March, the bourse said.
Equity turnover from regular trading on the BLSE totalled 2.2 million marka in April, lower than 4.1 million marka in the prior month, the bourse said in a monthly report.
The BLSE's total trading turnover amounted to 70.9 million marka in April 2022.
A total of 380 transactions were concluded on the Banja Luka bourse in April, compared with 410 in the previous month and 513 transactions in April 2022.
The BLSE's total market capitalisation amounted to 4.77 billion marka in April, slightly up from 4.70 billion marka the prior month. The bourse's total market capitalisation came in at 4.29 billion marka in April 2022.
The BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 813.35 points at the end of April, up 2.12% compared to the end-March value and 2.96% higher compared with its closing value at the end of April 2022.
Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] contributed the largest portion of total trading turnover among the companies on the BLSE in April, of 1.1 million marka. The company's shares closed the month at 1.67 marka, down from 1.69 marka at the end of March.
The BLSE is based in the Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) is based in the other entity, the Federation.
