December 4 (SeeNews) - Household appliances maker Alfa plam [BEL:ALFA] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 1,220 Alfa plam shares changed hands in a turnover of 26.7 million dinars. Alfa plam closed down 4.86% at 21,882 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.33% at 715.40 points.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 1.53% to 599 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.35% at 1,521.29.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 1.514 billion dinars ($15.6 million/12.9 million euro) on Friday, down from 232.1 million dinars on Thursday, as 119 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 4.4 million dinars.
In the period between November 30 and December 4, BELEX15 went down by 0.02% and BELEXline fell by 0.31%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 1.791 billion dinars, versus 833.6 million dinars last week.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.7 billion dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange this week, versus 805.1 million dinars last week.
