TIRANA (Albania), June 2 (SeeNews) – Albanian authorities issued 184 building permits in the first quarter, down 24.9% year-on-year, the national statistical office, INSTAT, said on Tuesday.
Of these, 128 building permits were issued for residential buildings, INSTAT said in a quarterly report.
The estimated value of the approved construction projects in the period under review nearly halved to 13.4 billion leks ($120.3 million/107.8 million euro), compared with 25.2 billion leks in the first quarter of 2019.
Most of the permits, 84, were issued for buildings in the capital Tirana, followed by 19 in the central city of Elbasan.
