October 8 (SeeNews) - Albania's central bank will auction 13.5 billion leks ($146.6 million/99.2 million euro) in six-month and twelve-month Treasury bills on October 13, it said on Thursday.
The Bank of Albania, which offers the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, will auction 8.5 billion leks worth of six month T-bills and 5.0 billion leks worth of 12-month T-bills.
The six-month T-bills will mature on April 15 next year. The 12-month government paper will mature on October 14, 2010.
Albania's six-month T-bills produced a weighted average yield of 7.7% in the last auction held on September 15. Twelve-month T-bills produced a weighted average yield of 9.4% in the last auction held on September 29.
The Bank of Albania has auctioned Treasury bills worth 299.92 billion leks since the beginning of this year. It auctioned T-bills worth 373 billion leks in par value last year, compared to 386.83 billion leks in 2007.
